The Ukrainian Canadian community joins all Canadians in mourning today for the millions of victims of the Holocaust. On the International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust, we honour the memory of the victims of Nazi Germany – the millions of Jews, Ukrainians, Poles, Roma – and many others murdered by the Nazi regime because of their race, nationality, religion, or sexual orientation. We honour those who survived the Holocaust, and those brave souls risked their lives to help their neighbours. We draw inspiration from their courage and their humanity.  We condemn the evil wrought upon the world by the Nazi regime, and we remain united in our duty to ensure that such crimes are never repeated.
