A Pysanka Mosaic exhibition featuring the work of David and Derek Wasylyshen, unlike anything you’ve ever seen.
“The works of David Wasylyshen represent something quite apart from, yet akin to the pysanka tradition. They, literally and figuratively, deconstruct the pysanka in form and function to create a new work of art they refer to as a pysanka mosaic. This involves a great number of pysanky that are cut up into a myriad of pieces of various shapes and sizes and worked into an original image often creating a three dimensional effect. David’s son, Derek, has developed his own particular pysanka mosaic style incorporating glass fusing and slumping techniques.”
