The Edmonton branches of the League of Ukrainian Canadians and the League of Ukrainian Canadian Women in collaboration with UCC-APC and UCC Edmonton Branch invite the Ukrainian Canadian community of Edmonton to an evening with Ukrainian World Congress President Eugene Czolij. This special event takes place at 7:00PM on May 31, 2013 at the Ukrainian Youth Unity Complex (9615-153 Ave, Edmonton, AB). Eugene Czolij will be speaking about activities of the Ukrainian World Congress in promoting the European integration and democratization of Ukraine, as well as the strengthening of the global Ukrainian community.

Czolij was elected to a five year term as Ukrainian World Congress President in 2008. He is the recipient of several awards, including the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal, the Order of Merit of Ukraine, and the Shevchenko Medal from the Ukrainian Canadian Congress. He has also been a member of the Board of Directors of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress since 1994 and the Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky Institute Foundation since 2005.
