Alberta to help fund humanitarian aid to Ukraine

The Alberta government will provide up to $100,000 in matching funds for humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

The money will come from the Alberta Culture International Development Program.

In a news release Tuesday, Premier Alison Redford said that Alberta stands beside the people of Ukraine.

More than 250,000 Albertans are of Ukrainian descent.

The UCC-APC was organized in 1974 as a non-profit society, and today represents over 400,000 Ukrainian Canadians before the people and Government of Alberta.
