The Ukrainian Art Song Project is now accepting applications to the sixth Ukrainian Art Song Summer Institute to be held this August 12-18 at Toronto’s Royal Conservatory of Music. The deadline is March 1, 2024.
Only eight vocal artists who wish to develop their classical singing skills while learning a rich and varied repertoire of Ukrainian art songs will be accepted. This year, one student collaborative pianist will also have the opportunity to work alongside faculty members and the eight vocalists.
The faculty consists of Dr. Melanie Turgeon (Co-Director), Benjamin Butterfield (Co-Director and vocal coach), Andrea Ludwig (vocal coach) and pianists Dr. Leanne Regehr and Steven Philcox. A public concert given by the participants concludes the week-long program.
We encourage artists (professional or emerging, upper-graduate or graduate ) to apply now. More information is available at www.ukrainianartsong.ca
