Description: When this reproduction of a Ukrainian khata (cottage) was opened in the 1951 it was the first Ukrainian-themed museum in Canada. It is now closed but stands as in remembrance of the Ukrainian pioneers of Alberta. A stone monument was added beside the house in 1961 by the Ukrainian Pioneers' Associaiton of Alberta. This was the site of the annual "Ukrainian Day" starting in the 1950s, until it moved to the Ukrainian Village many decades later.
