On May 23, 2011 at the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village was an installation ceremony of a replica homestead marker to honor descendants of the earliest Ukrainian settlers from Nebyliv village, who travelled in 1891 and 1892 to what is now Alberta. The ceremony marked the kick-off of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress’ one-year celebration of the 120th anniversary of Ukrainian settlement in Canada.UCC National Media Release
